LG SIGNATURE – Sophisticated and Modern Ultra-Premium Brand

LG Electronics recently launched the LG SIGNATURE, their ultra-premium brand that blends sophisticated technology with modern minimalist designs. Their designs were very classy and elegant, showcasing the class, quality, performance, design and ultra-premium quality in their products line up of home appliances.

At the recent LG SIGNATURE media event held at ION Orchard, I had a close up view of the LG SIGNATURE products on display and they lived up to their branding and reputation as an ultra-premium class of LG Electronics products. There were the LG SIGNATURE OLED TV, LG SIGNATURE Refrigerator with an InstaView Door-in-Door feature, LG SIGNATURE Washing Machine with advanced TWINWash functions and a LG SIGNATURE Air Purifier with a Rain View Window.

“Our driving principle is to ensure that the essence of our products is preserved from idea generation through to the end-user experience,” said Mr. Brian Park, Vice President of LG Electronics Singapore. “LG SIGNATURE is the embodiment of everything that is important to LG and we hope to convey that philosophy to customers who appreciate great products from strong brands.”

At the LG SIGNATURE media event, Chef Janice Wong of 2am:dessertbar, one of Singapore’s famous pastry chefs, was present, partnering with LG, to bring about a multi sensory edible art journey. Chef Wong pastries were placed inside the LG SIGNATURE Refrigerator at the media event, the guests at the media event loved it!

I am honored to work with LG and create a gastronomical art journey that takes inspiration from the LG SIGNATURE,” says Chef Wong. “Each installation will embody the essence of the featured appliance. For example, the Thins is a nod to the OLED TV’s crystal-clear quality. The refrigerator’s InstaViewTM Door-in-DoorTM feature inspired the Chocolate Bon Bons filled with sweet surprises within. Imitating the look of detergent lather, the Edible Bubbles pays tribute to the washing machine with advanced TWINWash™ feature. And finally, the Clean Scent is reminiscent of the clean air that one can enjoy with the air purifier.”

Let me share more information on the LG SIGNATURE products below –

LG SIGNATURE OLED TV W7 Series

This is a very gorgeous and beautifully designed OLED TV, it’s razor thin, the OLED panel, measuring only 2.57mm thin in the 65-inch model, can be mounted directly on the wall with only magnetic brackets, thus flushed against the wall with minimal gap as if it were a piece of wall art.

This LG OLED TV has the Dolby Atmos® feature build inside, giving viewers superb sound technologies along with the Dolby Vision™, viewers have one of the most advanced cinema systems right in front of them.

LG SIGNATURE Refrigerator

This is a very elegant and minimalist referigerator, smart, intuitive and revolutionary too. By doing a knock knock on the refrigerator, users can view what’s inside without opening the door, saving energy costs, all thanks to the InstaViewTM Door-in-Door feature, which makes the opaque Door-in-Door® compartment transparent.

There is an innovative method to open the refrigerator door, just by placing your foot at the bottom where there is a smart sensor detector located.

Premium LG SIGNATURE Washing Machine

The innovative LG SIGNATURE Washing Machine builds on the technology of the LG TWINWashTM washer. The premium 24-inch front load washing machine is more durable, more convenient than ever and features the unique pedestal TWINWash™ Mini under the main unit.

Doing away with unnecessary buttons, the minimalistic design of the LG SIGNATURE Washing Machine is highlighted by the beautiful touch-enabled Quick Circle User Interface embedded in the glass door. Positioned at a 17-degree angle, the panel can be easily accessed even when the user is standing upright. The Push Open washing machine door opens with a slight push, even when the user’s hands are full. Meanwhile, the washer’s enamel coating not only gives it a sleek exterior but also repels fingerprints, scratches and corrosion.

LG SIGNATURE Air Purifier

I like the LG SIGNATURE Air Purifier, it looks like a Star Wars droid!

It has a Rain View Window, users can have a relaxing and smoothing visual experience by viewing the air purification process and how it works inside the air purifier.

The advanced Watering System feature harnesses the power of water to filter our the harmful chemicals and contaminants while quickly brining the room to comfortable humidity levels.

LG’s Lights Out, Stars On

The Northern Lights, one of Mother Nature most beautiful natural phenomena, is one of those natural beauty that never fails to attract us to watch and admire her beauty.

As a photographer myself, the Northern Lights is something that I really wanted to travel there, watch, enjoy and photograph it, one of the many beautiful natural phenomenas on our beautiful home, Earth. I hope that I am able to do it this winter 2016, keeping my fingers crossed and I hope to fulfil my dream!

LG embarked on a huge effort to recreate Northern Lights on OLED TVs, with their LG’s Lights Out, Stars On campaign, resonates with consumers worldwide and let me share with you the stories, photos and video of this LG’s Lights Out, Stars On campaign, from their press release information below –

LG’s Lights Out, Stars On campaign in Reykjavik, Iceland around its one-of-a-kind TV technology wrapped up in grand style with an OLED-themed concert by three high-profile Icelandic musicians — Ásgeir, GusGus and Ólafur Arnalds — at the award-winning Harpa Concert Hall. Designed to expose Iceland’s northern lights accessible to global consumers utilizing premium LG 4K OLED TVs, the multi-faceted Reykjavik campaign generated over 12 million views and online participation from over 360,000 consumers and fans.

Concert Attractor_01

The Lights Out, Stars On Concert began after a short introduction from Icelandic poet and novelist Andri Magnason and YouTuber Lewis Hilsenteger of Unbox Therapy. Ásgeir, GusGus and Ólafur Arnalds then took the stage one by one, performing alongside OLED screens depicting the beauty of Iceland’s northern lights. The images and video displayed on 40 OLED TVs (over 330 million pixels) behind the musicians added to the unique ambiance at the Harpa concert hall, creating an unforgettable experience for the 1,000 guests in attendance.

Running until November 20, the OLED Gallery exhibit features LG G6 OLED TVs to showcase brilliant 4K photographs captured by famous Icelandic photographers. Providing ultra-clear OLED images of Iceland’s northern lights, wildlife, volcanic activity, glaciers, geography and more, the exhibit has proven to be a popular attraction since opening to the public.

OLED TV Gallery 01

This campaign was inspired by an event that took place in Reykjavik a decade ago. During the 2006 Aurora Borealis viewing season, Icelandic poet and novelist Andri Magnason suggested that the city of Reykjavik come together to make the beauty of the night sky visible within the city for the first time. Magnason wanted the people of Reykjavik to see the northern lights and stars against a completely black backdrop. Just as eliminating light pollution allowed the people of Reykjavik to see the lights in all their glory, the pitch black backdrop of OLED TVs heightens the contrast and delivers richer images. LG OLED TVs feature individually illuminated pixels, eliminating the need for image-distorting LED backlights. Without this backlight, OLED TVs are capable of displaying perfect black images alongside bright, lifelike colors.

In order to make Lights Out, Stars On a truly global event, LG gave away tickets via Facebook as part of an all-expenses paid Reykjavik travel package. A total of 4,000 fans entered the contest from the several countries such as USA, India, France, Germany, Sweden and UAE from which 8 winners were selected. In addition, the campaign’s video has been seen by 12 million viewers as of July 15 and was listed on Advertising Age’s top 10 weekly viral video chart in early July.

“We are excited that our event in Iceland has been so successful, attracting so many visitors and influencers,” said Brian Kwon, president of LG Home Entertainment Company. “Our innovation in television technology allowed us to launch the world’s first 55-inch OLED TVs in 2013. Our leadership is helping to pave a new path for OLED, with sales projected to double every year until 2020. We will continue looking for creative ways to improve our technology and to connect with consumers around the globe. Lights Out, Stars On is an excellent example of how unique approaches can help the company reach new audiences and clearly communicate the advantages of OLED.”
