New Logitech Slim Combo for iPad Pro

The Apple iPad Pro is one of the technological devices available in the market today that represents the future generation of personal computing in both professional and leisure segments. They are popular and other brands in the market have design peripheral devices to complement the Apple iPad Pro.

Logitech announced the new Logitech Slim Combo for iPad Pro that users can consider to add on to their iPad Pro, turning into a personal computer on the move.

Let me share with you more information and pictures on the new Logitech Slim Combo for iPad Pro from the press release information:

“In the past, you were bound to a workspace with a PC, and used your tablet for quick messages or entertainment when you weren’t in the office; that’s not the case anymore,” said Moninder Jain, head of Video Collaboration for Logitech Asia Pacific and managing director for ASEAN. “To be a pro today, you need the power of the PC, but more easily available whether you’re on a train, at the park, in a meeting or wherever you need to be. The Slim Combo unleashes the power of iPad Pro to bring you the future of personal computing; a future that’s easier, faster and more fun.”

Key Features
Four versatile modes: The Slim Combo provides versatility through its four use modes — Typing, Viewing, FaceTime and Reading. You can comfortably shoot off an email using the full-size keyboard, pop off the detachable keyboard to sketch out an idea with your Apple Pencil, switch to portrait and take an incoming video call or just sit back and get lost in an e-book without distractions.

Laptop-like typing: Full-size backlit keys, smart iOS shortcuts provide the most laptop-like typing experience on the iPad Pro. Punch out emails – or an entire novel – on a backlit keyboard with carefully-crafted well-spaced and full-size concave keys. Three levels of adjustable backlighting keep you productive even in low light. And when you don’t need to type, simply detach the keyboard and enjoy the beautiful iPad Pro screen with nothing standing in the way. This is the future of personal computing.

Connect like a Pro: Batteries aren’t included, because you’ll never need them. Slim Combo connects to iPad Pro through the Smart Connector, meaning you will never have to pair or charge your keyboard again. Just click in and type away.

Pro-styled perfection: The Slim Combo provides 360 degrees of protection in an incredibly slim keyboard and case combo. The case is built to provide the right angle for every situation – and it’s not always 90 degrees. Two micro hinges ensure that Slim Combo smoothly reclines within a 50-degree range and stays in place once you’ve found the perfect viewing angle.

A home for Apple Pencil: The Apple Pencil brings a whole new creative experience to your iPad Pro, and the Slim Combo has an Apple Pencil holder to makes sure it’s always by your side. Slide your Apple Pencil into the holder– where it won’t get lost, or in the way.

Logitech K375s Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard and Stand Combo

Logitech recently launched a new multi-device wireless keyboard and stand combination, the Logitech K375s. I personally own a Logitech wireless keyboard, the K380 Multi-Device Bluetooth Keyboard and reviewed a number of their other wireless keyboard models such as the Logitech K780 and K480.

The Logitech K480 was a multi-device wireless keyboard with stand combination that was built together in one device, that allowed users to switch around their smartphone, tablet and computer with the switch of a button.

For the Logitech K375s, the design and concept (in my personal humble opinion) was improved from the K480 model, incorporating a full fledged keyboard (with the number pad) and a separate stand for your smartphone or tablet, thus giving you the flexibility to place the stand at your preferred location whereby you can look at your big monitor, along with the stand at the side.

Let me share with you more information and details of the Logitech K375s from the press release information below –

Logitech K780 Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard Review

The Logitech K780 Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard was recently announced at the end of June 2016 and it is currently now available in the market. I had an opportunity to review the Logitech K780 Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard for a period of two weeks.

There was an earlier article that I shared here on the press release announcement of the Logitech K780 Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard. The Logitech K780 design is built on the highly successful Logitech K380 Multi-Device Keyboard, a keyboard that I personally reviewed it as well, before making a purchase to own it for my own home, connecting my iMac, iPad Air and iPhone 6. I really like the Logitech K380 since I am able to connect and switch easily between my various devices, just by pressing the yellow buttons on my K380.

Before I proceed to share my thoughts and views of the Logitech K780 Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard review, let me refresh the key features of this keyboard –

  • Type on anything: The K780 Multi-Device is compatible with any computer, smartphone or tablet. Start typing on your computer, then switch and type on your phone or tablet – at the touch of an EasySwitch button.
  • All the keys you need, with Perfect Stroke typing: Experience quiet and comfortable typing with large, carefully crafted concave keys in a full-size and familiar layout, including a 10-key number pad.
  • Mobile device cradle: An integrated cradle holds a variety of devices – from smartphones to the iPad ProTM – at the perfect reading angle.
  • OS-adaptive: The K780 Multi-Device adapts to the operating system that is connected, and automatically maps keys to supported functions and shortcuts.
  • Dual connectivity: With the K780 Multi-Device, you can choose the best way to connect the device. It comes with a Logitech Unifying USB receiver and Bluetooth Smart technology.

Thoughts and views of the Logitech K780 Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard

  • It’s easy to use, quick to setup, connect and switch between your various devices in your home.
  • The cradle allows you to hold your devices for you to read and type away.
  • I am running on Mac OS X and iOS, with the K780 being OS-adaptive, you can easily switch between the tabs/apps at the touch of the buttons on the K780 keyboard.
  • The number pad on the K780 keyboard is a welcome addition, keying numbers/making calculations are now easy and fast.
  • The design and materials used in this keyboard make it stable and sturdy, that also means it is a bit heavier than your previous keyboard that you have that comes together with your desktop.

As I currently still own the Logitech K380 keyboard, it’s still in good condition, serving me well without any issues. On a personal note, there is no incentive for me to upgrade my K380 keyboard to K780 keyboard.

However, if you don’t own any multi-device wireless keyboard and planning to own one, go for the Logitech K780 Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard. The retail recommended price is $129, it’s not expensive, it’s a suitable and worthwhile investment to own, allowing you to connect your various devices together in your home.

I would like to thank Logitech Singapore for the opportunity to review the Logitech K780 Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard review.
