I was still tired out and suffering from some work travel fatigue when I traveled up with my parents to my grandmother’s home in Bukit Pasir, Johor, Malaysia over the weekend for my cousin’s wedding. For my cousins weddings in Malaysia that I attended, it had always been pretty relaxing and lots of family time bonding, chatting and eating. I still remembered doing a AD wedding shoot for my junior from my Dragon Chapter alumni mater some years back, with the morning ceremony in Batu Pahat before going back to Singapore for the evening dinner.<\/p>\n

The atmosphere was laid back and relaxing, lots of delicious food cooked by my aunties, on the night before the wedding event. Due to work and a bit of traveling on the road, we reached quite late at night, had a quick rest before having supper with my cousins. I was asked by my cousin to help him in his AD wedding photography shoot and I was able to cover the morning AD wedding and the wedding dinner in the evening. Once the formalities finished around noon time, it was time for a lunch feast prepared by my aunties, more eating! Having to shoot and cover the wedding dinner later in the evening, I took a nap and rested before going over early with one of my cousins to prepare.<\/p>\n

During the wedding dinner, it was great to see cousins and relatives helping out in many ways at the wedding, to ensure that it was smooth, fun and a good time for the guests that graced the wedding dinner. The weddings in Malaysia that I attended were so much more relaxing while weddings in Singapore were like a mad rush for time! After the wedding dinner on Saturday, it was a rest and chit chat time with grandma, uncles, aunties, cousins, nephews and nieces before returning home in the afternoon.<\/p>\n

A fun time, great extended family bonding and reunion. I am still having fatigue from traveling and it’s definitely worth it, nothing beats the warmth, friendliness, love and care of a big extended family.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
