The current global pandemic has created massive impacts to the world economy and daily living. For some families out there, they might be facing greater impacts and difficulties than others, especially for those families that do not have adequate housing or lacking housing during this global pandemic period. To these families, taking shelter at home can be unsafe or even impossible. How can we help such families in need? LG Electronics (LG) has launched the LG “Come Home Challenge”. LG<\/span>\u00a0Electronics (LG<\/span>) is partnering with the Korea branch of Habitat for Humanity, the nonprofit organization devoted to building and improving dwellings for families worldwide.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n I personally have supported Habitat for Humanity events over the years, participating in their Bare Your Sole walks in Singapore. Under the hashtag #LGComeHomeChallenge, the digital campaign kicks off with a video which highlights the joy of family and a life made better with\u00a0LG\u2019s advanced home appliances.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n #LGComeHomeChallenge invites consumers to create and share short videos that show what home means to them. Videos should show scenes from participants\u2019 lives that best define what home and family means to them \u2013 eating together, playing together, laughing together or just enjoying life. A special AR Instagram filter created for the campaign will add more personalization to every upload.<\/p>\n LG\u00a0will make a donation of USD 300,000 to Habitat for Humanity Korea, with plans to donate home appliances to furnish newly built homes. The appliances will be installed in new homes being built in India, Kenya and Vietnam to create safe havens for the neediest families.<\/p>\n
