BioActive Sensor provides Real-time Insights

In addition, the Galaxy Watch8 Series spots the potential for health issues sooner, thanks to its BioActive Sensor that provides real-time insights:

  • The Sleep Apnea feature, approved for use by the Singapore Health Sciences Authority (HSA), enables users to detect moderate to severe signs of sleep apnea. The condition affects approximately one in three Singaporeans, and is when an individual experiences repeated blockage to breathing during sleep.
  • The Galaxy Watch8’s enhanced Electrocardiogram (ECG) can better capture ectopic beats, extra or skipped heartbeats that occur outside of the normal heart rhythm. While mostly harmless, identification of frequent ectopic beats could serve as insights for preventive care, especially among individuals with chronic health conditions.
