Writing and publishing articles, news, as well as insights and thoughts in the areas of technology and business has slowed down in recent months. On the subject of personal sharing and updates, that’s even lesser since I am a private person and don’t share too much on my personal side of things. However once a while, I would publish some updates, here’s my Technology / Business / Personal Updates June 2025.
Technology
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
This area has been of strong interest to me, in both professional and personal capacities. Whether in my photography or creative field, or writing on technology topics, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has grown and expanded so much more over the past few years.
There are still ongoing genuine concerns, both sides are championing and debating on the pros and cons of using AI, what are the current and future developments of AI technology be like in different industries and also on a personal individual basis.
I am working on more in-depth discussion and research of AI, the impacts for certain industries e.g. photography and creative related. I am also looking at AI impacts on small and medium sized businesses, and likely to focus on certain industries.
Priority to clear backlogs
While I haven’t been publishing technology and business media news as frequently, I would prioritise clearing my backlogs, on reviews, technology media events, before rebooking at my pace of technology media news coverage, as well as my technology topics research/interviews that I am working on.
Business
A Slow & Worrying Local and World Economy
Speak to small and medium sized business owners, that’s a common topic, a slow and worrying local and world economy. From downsizing office spaces, to giving up business spaces, some are in the news, some are privately discussed.
On retrenchments, you can read about them in the news, both local and international news. A mixed bag of reasons/factors behind that, implementing AI technology solutions is probably a part of that and not likely the main factor.
Geo-political tensions
Geo-political tensions had been ongoing for a while now, happening at different regions of the world. It’s fluctuating at times, and the tensions look to be heading towards more turbulent boiling point.
Those geo-political tensions have directly or indirectly affected different countries around the world, we are keeping our fingers crossed that it doesn’t escalate further and they get resolved peacefully.
Exploring new business opportunities and directions
With so much turbulence, headwinds and economic uncertainties, along with changing media consumption, it makes photography business or content creation even more difficult and challenging.
I have started exploring new business opportunities and directions, evaluating my options and choices.
Personal
I did share with some friends in the PR/Communications side, about my technology writing, slowing down and getting lesser. That was a comment that I am not disciplined enough, on that note, I admit that at times I wasn’t disciplined enough.
The point that I didn’t said out across is that I am mentally exhausted, in some parts due to running my own photography and content creation business, family members who are elderly and needs more care and attention, a slow and worrying local economy that makes living and running a business/working a lot more stressful and pressurising.
Everyone of us have own private battles to fight, some will still judge you regardless of what you are facing, without even seeking first to understand.
Continue to Strive Forward
We have to continue to strive forward, everyone of us are facing some battles of their own, some more challenging and difficult, also more private than what we can see and know, or what you are currently experiencing.
Let’s not be judgemental, many of us are under huge amounts of stress and pressure, be kind and support one another as much as possible.
We can all strive to work together, make things better for us, in the second half of 2025, that is starting soon.
