For my readers who knew, read and follow my photojournalism blog, first and foremost, thank you for your continuous support.
Well, today, on 09.09.2008, in the morning, I switched on my macbook and began surfing the internet, checking my emails and my blogs. However, it turned into a nasty shock for me, my photojournalism blog was re-directed to a lottery site after it finished loading. During this time, I asked my fellow blogger, iWalk to help me in diagnosing the potential problems and issues. iWalk was a big help and mentor, even asking her fellow blogger friends to help me diagnose the problems.
It was a bit of chaos, confusion, stress and hanging on a limbo. The photojournalism blog was my blood, sweat and tears, my passion, my pride, built over 2 years +, with a good readership and followers and the avenue that brings my photography, travel and writing breaking through to levels that I never imagine myself going.
At this point in time, I would not be able to pinpoint any one or a few points that could be the root of this problem. Jack Lan of Intrillion, an expert Internet Marketer, the mentor who helped kicked start my blogging, helped me a lot in diagnosing the problems too.
A few possibilities, don’t want to jump to conclusions. Hopefully, it would be resolved and I can carry on my photo blogging. Nevertheless, as this post was being written, some expansion plans are already in place …..
Some bot or human had found out your password. The only way to rid of it totally is to back up your data, delete the entire folder and install a new copy of the CMS. I was hit twice. This is not a common problem but I suggest changing to a really tough password with all the funny characters thrown in.
I think I can fully understand your stress and feeling, JH?I knew how hard you worked on your blog.
I was hit once, They put a Trojan link to my website through a spam.
But this time I thought they aimed at blogspot.com. Because some of other blogs also met same thing as yours.
That’s terrible that we don’t have the ability to keep our blog safe, even with the under the protection of Google( blogspot.com)
