Dell Technologies Works with DP Architects to Strengthen Technology Infrastructure - TGH Technology and Business Portal/Blog

Dell Technologies (NYSE:DELL) is working with DP Architects, a global multi-disciplinary design practice, to strengthen its technology infrastructure. This includes a refresh of its high-performance compute cluster (HPC) for building physics and environmental simulations increasing computing speed and capacity, as well as improving operational efficiencies.

DP Architects are well-known for iconic projects around the world, they are responsible for projects such as Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, and Singapore Sports Hub in Singapore, The Dubai Mall, Lusail Commercial Boulevard in Doha, and Guangzhou Knowledge City re-masterplan in China. They used Dell Technologies’s industry expertise to identify key areas to improve operational efficiencies across the business and better support its workforce with purposeful investments in the right technology.

Dell Technologies Enterprise Solutions Powering DP Architects Technology Infrastructure

What are the Dell Technologies Enterprise Solutions powering DP Architects technology infrastructure?

They have updated its high-performance computing (HPC) environment with a variety of Dell Technologies infrastructure solutions, such as the Dell PowerEdge R7525 servers with ME5024 storage. The architects at the company now have the computing power and capacity to support seamless, real-time collaboration around the globe in real-time and advanced design software and tools. They are also able to achieve higher productivity through increased speed of simulations of their architectural designs.

DP Architects utilises Dell CloudIQ, a cloud-based AIOps application that combines proactive monitoring, machine learning and predictive analytics to provide more intelligent insights. This would allow their IT personnel to react quicker and simplify operations of on-premises infrastructure and data protection in the cloud.

As for quick file sharing and heavy processing of data in DP Architects, they have the Dell PowerScale Storage. On the areas of data security and data recovery, they have Dell’s Superna Ransomware Defender, mitigating the risk of disruptions caused by cyberattacks.

Additionally, Dell ProDeploy was incorporated to ensure optimal performance and deployment of the updated infrastructure throughout the planning, configuration and implementation process. With Dell ProSupport, DP Architects have ongoing IT support and assistance available to them.

Dell APEX Flex on Demand

DP Architects also transitioned to Dell APEX Flex on Demand, a pay-per-use mode, for its storage solutions. This allows them to manage its operating expenditure and better channel their financial resources to the most appropriate use when needed.

“Dell Technologies’ comprehensive end-to-end IT portfolio helps companies harness the power of technology to create desired outcomes,” said Andy Sim, vice president & managing director, Singapore, Dell Technologies. “Working with DP Architects as their trusted technology partner, Dell is helping the company to enhance its IT infrastructure and achieve operational excellence across its business.”

“Investing in the right technology is key to advancing DP Architects’ Green-Well-Tech effort to design solutions that are grounded in sustainability and wellbeing, enabled by innovation and impactful technology. Building our technology capacity with partners such as Dell Technologies allows us to improve operational efficiency, multidisciplinary and global collaboration, and supports our outcome-driven approach,” said Derek Herbert, head of operations and chief information officer, DP Architects.
