There were many thoughts and things going through my mind for the past month, it had been mind blowing at times, stressful and very tiring. People can’t really see it through my facial expression because it had been covered away from the normal human eyes. For the past two months, I wrote some personal thoughts/feelings articles – *Challenging times ahead* and *Recap and reflect*, this was kind of a continuation of these 2 articles.
The times ahead had got even more challenging, difficult and stressful with the current market sentiments and economic climate. Some businesses had to close down, some had to cut cost, to be lean and trim, some will take on additional risks to expand their business in a period of slow growth (or maybe crisis/recession). Some people are still continuing to spend and it’s a worrying trend if they do not belong to the group of people with assets and cash. While this upcoming 2-3 quarters will be another round of test of our resilience, toughness and character, it will test our financial literacy and capabilities. This might not be a recession (worse case scenario), it might just be a period of slow growth (or very slow growth).
Challenges to earn revenue in a period of tough economic conditions (hopefully not a recession), feeling the intense and added volume of stress and pressure. Plans for my holiday had been pushed back again and again, the pressure, stress is taking a toll on me and a holiday break is needed, probably in December and January. For those whom I chatted with personally in person, it was a great avenue to air my thoughts and feelings to let it out loud, they can understand and gave me the advice without passing a judgement. For that, I am most grateful and blessed for your understanding, advice and blessing.
This article might be seen as an abstract and deep ranting. If you are running a business, or helping to run a business, I am pretty sure you can relate to some of my thoughts, feelings and mood. Read and understand the stories behind it, this might open you up more, to learn, to prepare for changes and beyond.
My time spent on social media had slowed down, it might be a good thing for me, since Facebook had so much “rubbish” posts. It can and had been a good detox to be away from Facebook, while my other social media platforms had also slowed down. Twitter and Instagram is more interesting, generates more different varieties of topics and interests (in my personal humble opinion). Nevertheless, I still go into Facebook, view some quick updates and I am back to my work or other leisure activities. Updating my Facebook Page is of a higher priority since it is part of my engagement/broadcast and sharing platform for my photography.
I don’t share much on my personal Facebook, extrovert I am, my inner most thoughts and feelings are hidden away (because I am a Capricorn). While I confess to utilise Twitter more with its micro-blogging platform, allowing me to share almost instantaneously. Gain my trust and you know me. Break my trust and it’s going to be very difficult for you (forever or very hard to regain it).
There are many more articles to share, business, entrepreneurship, social media, tech gadgets and new technology. I hope to provide a mixed balance of articles to share with my readers.
