Huawei launched Nova 5T

Huawei recently launched a new smartphone to their lineup, the nova 5T. At the recently concluded COMEX 2019 in Singapore, Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG) Singapore launched the HUAWEI nova 5T at the eSports Festival Asia 2019, of which Huawei was the title sponsor.

Having reviewed the Huawei P9 and Huawei P10 Plus smartphones and their camera phone capabilities, I have an understanding on the capabilities of the Huawei camera phones. On the HUAWEI nova 5T, their smartphone camera capabilities can be seen inside the HUAWEI nova 5T smartphone too. At the event, I got to know more about the HUAWEI nova 5T and had a feel of the new smartphone on display. The HUAWEI nova 5T is the junior flagship smartphone versus the Huawei P and Mate series. It has pretty good technical specifications and functions for a junior flagship smartphone.

Mr Phil Xu, Managing Director of Huawei CBG Singapore, said: “The HUAWEI nova 5T is the perfect partner for consumers who want to share the best of themselves and their lives on social media or want to enjoy unparalleled gaming on-the-go. With its advanced Five AI Cameras and refined, ergonomic design, the HUAWEI nova 5T raises the bar for content creators on the move. The HUAWEI nova 5T invites you to inspire your moment.”

It’s for Gaming!

Gaming is an all-important facet of the HUAWEI nova 5T, which is where its flagship Kirin 980 AI processor with GPU Turbo 3.0 comes into play. For the gamers out there, I reckon this smartphone would definitely attract your attention!

The flagship Kirin 980 AI processor with GPU Turbo 3.0 comes into play. The graphics processing acceleration technology housed in the HUAWEI nova 5T greatly increases CPU and GPU processor performances, and delivers an optimized EMUI experience by means of an improved computing efficiency. GPU Turbo allows users to play more graphically-demanding games, boosts the average frame rate to the maximum level, and extends the battery life by reducing the SoC power consumption by 10%.

5 AI Cameras!

The growth and development of Huawei smartphone/mobile photography over the years, from the P series and Mate series models, can be seen on the HUAWEI nova 5T. There are four rear AI cameras that support high-definition, ultra-wide-angle, macro, and depth of field photography. Combining their AI-powered image semantic segmentation and partition optimization technology with the 48MP HD lens, 16MP wide-angle lens, 2MP macro lens, and 2MP bokeh lens, the four rear cameras on the HUAWEI nova 5T covers quite a lot on the photography segment. For the selfie camera, HUAWEI nova 5T’s 32MP ultra-clarity camera captures minute detail with unmatched sharpness.

AI-enhanced photography technology such as AI Image Stabilization (AIS), Auto Exposure Lock (AEL) and Auto Focus Lock (AFL) combine to ensure images are sharp and detailed. HUAWEI nova 5T users also benefit from powerful automatic video editing capabilities.

In the current social media and internet driven world today, the 5 AI cameras would definitely be very useful and helpful for the everyday user, working professionals, sharing images while on the move or at work.

Personal thoughts and views

I have two smartphones, one of them is the Huawei P9 and I am still using it, I feel that it’s time for the Huawei P9 upgrade. The Huawei Nova 5T is pretty compelling and enticing, based on its technical specifications, functions, capabilities and price, pretty value for money smartphone.

Maybe it’s time to consider the HUAWEI nova 5T smartphone.
