On the 26th March 2011, at 8:30pm Singapore time, it’s time to do something for Mother Earth, something small, just by switching off the lights for 1 hour. This is Earth Hour 2011 and let’s all come together to play a part, no matter how big or small, make a difference, spread this noble cause to everybody around you.
The history of Earth Hour can be found here, over these few years, this movement is getting stronger and bigger, with greater and wider participation. Let’s all take this time to reflect on ourselves, how we are using energy and precious resources, have we depleting a lot from Mother Earth and in return, giving out a lot of pollution and adding tons of rubbish? How can we play a part in our current environment, protecting and preserving them for our future generations and beyond?
Take action, pledge your support to the Earth Hour movement, reflect and measure on your consumption – how can you reduce wastage? Are you actively recycling products and materials? Don’t just do it for 26th March 2011, go beyond the 1 hour of support, towards the point of infinity.
Everyone of us, can play a part, must play a part, no matter how big how small, we can all make a difference. Let’s all celebrate Earth Hour 2011 together!
