Jabra Elite 75t review - TGH Technology and Business Portal/Blog

The Jabra Elite 75t was announced earlier in January 2020, their fourth generation true wireless earbuds. I saw it at the media event held in Singapore and I was impressed with its form factor and design, lightweight and improved audio experience.  Having previously reviewed Jabra Elite Active 65t, I have knowledge and experience of the Jabra audio quality standards. When the opportunity came up to do the Jabra Elite 75t review, I took it up since it’s a good continuation from where I left off with the Jabra Elite Active 65t.

Now let me bring you through my Jabra Elite 75t review experiences, thoughts and views.

Aesthetics

When I first saw the Jabra Elite 75t in January, the size of the earbuds and charging case caught my attention. It’s smaller and lighter in weight as compared to the Jabra Elite Active 65t that I had previous experience using. The ergonomic shape design makes it look sleek, contoured nicely for the ears.

During my review, the Jabra Elite 75t feels secure and fits very nicely into my ears (although I do need the largest silicon ear gel as my left ear lobe doesn’t fit in as well as compared to my right ear). Using it for communication, meetings, walks and runs, the lightweight and small form factor is a great plus point.

The Jabra Elite 75t earbuds is IP55 rated protection from dust and water, it comes with a 2-year warranty against dust and water damage.

Audio/Sound

The audio/sound segment, whether you are looking at the Jabra Elite 75t from a work/communications perspective, leisure use or both, the audio quality is a key factor, might be the main and first aspect of the Jabra Elite 75t that users look into first.

Bass – The bass has improved, it’s stronger and you can feel the boom. Listening to rock music with the Jabra Elite 75t is nice and feels good!

Mid Range – It’s clear, detailed and natural, without being too overwhelming bright or underwhelming dull.

Treble – Another improvement from my experience with the Jabra Elite Active 65t, it makes listening to music with the Jabra Elite 75t a fun, enjoyable and all round experience. Although when I push the volume button up too high, the pitch gets a bit too high and sharp for my ears.

Overall, the audio quality of the Jabra Elite 75t is good, the improvements are significant from the earlier model Elite 65t series. There are times whereby you can hear and feel the 3D surround sound effects when listening to music on the Jabra Elite 75t.

Conferencing/Meetings with Zoom / Teams

For working professionals who now have to use more of technology and apps such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams, no thanks to the Covid-19 situation with many of us having to work from home. Being true wireless, without any wires attached to your laptop, tablet or smartphone, it makes your video conferencing or meetings less of a hassle, along with clear and sharp communication when you are using the Jabra Elite 75t.

Phone chat

Clear and sharp, thanks to the 4 microphone call technology inside the Jabra Elite 75t. The design, lightweight and secure features make it comfortable for lengthy phone chats.

Technology

Bluetooth Connection

Bluetooth pairing is very fast and can connect to 2 devices at one time and you can pair up to 8 devices.

Jabra Sound+ App

Having previously reviewed the Jabra Elite Active 65t, I am familiar with the Jabra Sound+ App, its capabilities and functions. You can choose from three modes, My Moment / Commute / Focus. Commute would be ideal when you are on the move, riding on public transport, while Focus would be ideal for yourself at work or when you need some quiet time. There is also the battery life indicator  on the top right corner of the app that keeps track of your earbuds battery levels.

This is also the place whereby you can control the other technological functions and capabilities of the Jabra Elite Active 65t, the Voice Assistant whereby you can have instant access to your voice assistant (from Amazon Alexa, Siri or Google Assistant) direct to your earbuds.

The ability to personalise and customise my audio settings is something that I like a lot. You can control the other technological functions and capabilities of the Jabra Elite 75t, the Voice Assistant whereby you can have instant access to your voice assistant (from Amazon Alexa, Siri or Google Assistant) direct to your earbuds.

For the music lovers/audiophiles, there are six music presets that you can choose from the following:

Neutral, Bass boost, Smooth, Speech, Treble boost and Energise

With these six music presets, you can choose to use their presets or customise your audio listening experience further to suit your listening preferences. For the audiophiles, this would suit you nicely.

On my iPad Air 3, the Jabra Sound+ App looks nice on a big screen, you can rotate into landscape mode too!

HearThrough

HearThrough is one of the technological capabilities built inside the Jabra Elite 75t. On the Jabra Sounds+ App, you can control and filter the level of sounds that surrounds you, just by switching between On / Off. When you switch it on, you can select how much of the outside world that you would like to let in, just by adjusting the slider.

There are times whereby we would love listening to music without any external sound distraction, there also times whereby we would also need to be aware of our surroundings e.g. listening to music on the move and we need to be aware of our surroundings.

Jabra’s passive noise cancellation is pretty impressive, it isolates the outside noise, giving you a wonderful audio experience, in a musical/working world of your own, at the comfort of your home or own office space.

It’s a great feature, just a word of caution, to switch on HearThrough when you go out for sports/exercises such as running or when you are commuting from place to place whereby you do need to be safe and aware of the surroundings.

Thoughts and views

Lightweight, fitting  and comfortable for the ears. The audio quality is good, great for communication at work or leisure, sharp and clear. For listening to music, it has improved from the Jabra Elite 65t that I previously reviewed, stronger bass and improved treble/highs.

The Jabra Elite 75t is lighter and smaller as compared to previous generation Jabra Elite Active 65t, charging case is smaller and lighter in weight too.

The Jabra Elite 75t is a worthy consideration for a working/business in-ear true wireless earbuds and just as suitable for leisure music listening. A pair of well designed and tested earphones that looks nice on you too.

I would like to thank Jabra Singapore and GLOO PR for the opportunity to review the Jabra Elite 75t in-ear true wireless earbuds.
