It’s June 2024, we are getting closer to the end of the first half of year 2024. Time flies very fast, sometimes, just like the blink of an eye. Moving forward for the rest of my technology and business writing journey, I would work on writing a summary of technology and business industry updates, news recap, snippets of my technology learning and research areas, and maybe some prelude to upcoming news or announcements for the coming month, on the first day of every month titled, “TGH Technology Thinking Box Series”.
What is TGH Technology Thinking Box Series all about?
This would be similar to my initial plan of publishing my own “TGH Technology and Business Bulletin” series that was conceptualised in February 2023. However, I wasn’t able to produce it and publish on a consistent basis. I decided to relook into this, making some tweaks and adjustments, pushing myself to be more disciplined and consistent in my technology writing and media news coverage in consumer and enterprise technology sectors.
The TGH Technology Thinking Box Series would incorporate my initial plans from my TGH Technology and Business Bulletin Series, into smaller, more bite size, monthly mode form of bulletin news writing that I can maintain and sustain.

I am still continuing to improve in my technology writing, using my visual storytelling as both a main and complementing platform in this area. This is still a work-in-progress, always learning and improving along the way.

Kickstarting my June 2024 – TGH Technology Thinking Box Series, here are my key topics/themes and technology news that took place recently.
Everything and Anything Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Starting in 2023, I embarked on my Artificial Intelligence (AI) research, learning and sharing journey – TGH Technology Research/Learning Series on AI and TGH Photography Research/Learning Series on AI. There are so much to learn and understand on AI, and how to use AI, from both B2B and B2C perspectives.
I am going to work on more in-depth interview articles on AI technology with major technology companies, that I would publish and share my articles down the road in the months ahead.
Back from ATxSG 2024 (As a visitor)
I attended ATxSG 2024 recently over 2 days from 29 to 30 June, I have been a regular visitor to CommunicAsia and BroadcastAsia over the decade. On a personal note and view as a visitor/technology writer, this ATxSG 2024 looked to have lessor exhibitors and lesser attendees.
AI is the hot focus, the hot topic and theme for Year 2024, this can be seen in ATxSG 2024. There were two appointments/meetings at ATxSG 2024, with IBM and tlooto, on their AI technology and platforms.
From a networking perspective, I did have a fruitful time visiting and networking in BroadcastAsia segment. There was a meeting/appointment with Yuzzit, a professional live video editing tools company. Also a big thanks to photographer friend Joseph Goh for the networking introduction to the various brands/distributors in Singapore. This was also a good catch up with fellow professionals in the photography, videography, media production and broadcasting industries.
With the short write up, I am not planning to write more about ATxSG 2024 as a whole, since I am just a regular return visitor/technology writer for this year.
Quantum Computing versus Supercomputing
They are not the same, at the recent ATxSG 2024, I was schooled on this during my visit to IBM booth, an area that I got a lot more to learn and understand more in-depth on those two areas. With the exponential rise of AI, the hardware technology powering AI cannot be underestimated, on both consumer level and enterprise level computers.
In my ongoing TGH Technology Research/Learning Series on AI, I would share more on Quantum Computing and Supercomputing in AI technology and applications.

I would definitely strike a balance, ensuring that I don’t get overwhelmed with too many gadgets at one time since I have to continue working on my technology writing and media news coverage.
