More information and details are in the press release information below:

Logitech International?(SIX: LOGN) (Nasdaq: LOGI) announced that it has agreed to acquire ?ASTRO Gaming?, a leading console gaming brand with a history of producing award-winning headsets for professional gamers and enthusiasts. ?Logitech and ASTRO, together, is the number one maker of headsets, mice, keyboards and streaming webcams for PC and console gamers.

“ASTRO is the leading player for premium console headsets and is the preferred headset for console e-sports athletes,” said Ujesh Desai, ?vice president and general manager of Logitech G?. “It’s a perfect complement to Logitech G’s focus on PC gaming and we couldn’t be more excited; we love the team, the brand and the products. Together, we want to make game play even more fun for gamers everywhere.”

Jordan Reiss, co-founder and president of ASTRO, added, “The whole team at ASTRO has always held Logitech and Logitech G products in the highest regard, so I’m ecstatic we are joining forces. ASTRO’s brand strength combined with Logitech G’s unrivaled technology and global distribution network is going to bring our products to even more gamers around the world.”

ASTRO, is a pioneer in gaming audio and lifestyle products and has a strong leadership position in the premium end of the global console gaming headset market. ASTRO is best known for its iconic A40 and A50 headsets designed for pro gamers and core enthusiasts. ASTRO’s recently introduced A10 expands the company’s reach in the console headset market, offering the essence of what makes their headsets premium, but at a more broadly accessible price point.

Expected impact on financial results for Fiscal Year 2018

L?ogitech will purchase ASTRO for $85 million in cash, and the acquisition is expected to close in early August. With the addition of ASTRO, we’re investing in an adjacent gaming market — the console gaming market — to help accelerate the long-term growth of our gaming business. In FY 2018, we expect the acquisition of ASTRO to add approximately two points of growth to the to?p line, and to be slightly dilutive to the bottom line in the first year, as we integrate the business and invest to expand ASTRO internationally.

Logitech G Pro Gaming mouse

Logitech G recently announced a new mouse to their lineup, the Logitech G Pro Gaming Mouse, for eSports players and also for those who love gaming.

Let me share with you more details of the Logitech G Pro Gaming Mouse –

Logitech (SIX: LOGN) (NASDAQ: LOGI) announced the Logitech® G Pro Gaming Mouse. Designed for eSports athletes, this new gaming mouse features Logitech’s most accurate optical gaming sensor, a metal spring button tensioning system, onboard memory for driver-free operation on tournament systems, and a comfortable, durable yet lightweight design. The Logitech G Pro Gaming Mouse builds on the heritage and global popularity of the Logitech G100s shape with top competitive eSports professionals, and combines it with the incredible speed, accuracy and responsiveness of the G303.

“The benefit of working with eSports players is that they tell us what they like, and more importantly, what they don’t like,” said Moninder Jain, Managing Director, ASEAN and Vice-President of Logitech. “Our new Logitech G Pro Gaming Mouse takes what eSports pros loved about the G100s and G303 and combines it into a mouse that we’re confident will meet their standards.”

“Competing at the top level requires a well-built mouse,” said Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham of Cloud 9 CS:GO. “After working closely with Logitech and extensive testing, the new Pro Gaming Mouse is my preferred mouse. With a comfortable shape and top-of-the-line sensor, I never have problems picking off my enemies.”

Key Features

  • Advanced Optical Gaming Sensor: Consistent, pixel-precise accuracy makes a critical difference in high-stakes competitive gameplay. The PMW3366 sensor delivers a level of precision widely considered to be the best by enthusiasts and professionals alike. With zero smoothing, filtering or acceleration across the entire DPI range (200-12,000DPI), it provides exceptional tracking accuracy and consistent responsiveness at any speed.

  • Metal Spring Button Tensioning System: The metal spring button tensioning system in the Logitech G Pro Gaming Mouse enhances the consistency of the left and right mouse buttons and helps reduce the force required to click. This ensures a crisp, reliable click performance you can depend on at the highest level of competition.

  • Comfortable, Durable and Lightweight Design: The Logitech G Pro Gaming Mouse is optimized to reduce weight, helping improve comfort, stability and responsiveness. Every aspect of the engineering is rigorously tested to make sure it can stand up to even the most intense gaming. The top surface of the Pro Gaming Mouse is treated with a special coating to improve durability and grip, and the left and right buttons are tested to exceed 20 million clicks – the equivalent of a pro gamer training 10 hours every day for two years.

  • Driver-free Operation for Tournament Systems. The Logitech G Pro Gaming Mouse lets you save your exact DPI settings, button assignments, and lighting configuration via Logitech Gaming Software (LGS) to the onboard memory in the mouse, so you’ll never have to worry about whether your setup is right. Since you can’t always guarantee the tournament machine will have your configuration software available, or that it’s allowed to be installed, so this is perfect for competitions.
