Start of Circuit Breaker in Singapore – 7th April 2020
Today, on 7th April 2020, marks the start of an eventful day and a month (hopefully) ahead in Singapore. This marks the start of circuit breaker in Singapore, from 7th April 2020 till at least 4th May 2020 (hopefully). they are new stricter measures announced by the Singapore government to curb the spread of Covid-19.
If you are living in Singapore and haven’t heard of this circuit breaker announcement (I don’t know which planet are you on), this is the time to stand up, listen and take note of the new stricter measures in place.
Circuit Breaker – In a nutshell, it’s closure of non-essential services
Most workplaces to close (7th April to 4th May)
No dining in at eateries, only takeaway or deliver (7th April to 4th May)
Schools are shifting to full home-based learning (8th April to 4th May)
All attractions, theme parks, museums and casinos will be closed. As for sports facilities such as public swimming pools and gyms, they will also be closed. (7th April to 4th May)
Advice to public: Stay at home

This is going to be a difficult time for all of us here in Singapore. Let’s stay calm, don’t rush down to the supermarkets and hoard items, daily necessities. Remember to practice safe social distancing and good personal hygiene. Wear a mask if you have to go out. Keep a safe distance if you are going to the parks for your exercises and keeping fit.
